After that first week of all the pretty ladies both of my last two shoots featured handsome fellas.
Several other projects—animations, feature videos, and data visualization—have kept me from using the studio for it's main purpose: photography. Yesterday I had the chance to do something about that. Olivia, whom I've photographed before, and Ashley visited the studio yesterday.
Both of these images, though wildly different in feel and emotion, express Helen perfectly, though she does tend to lean slightly more toward the first image. That's the beauty of photography - recording the truth of an instant.
I've begun to release elements of my new series entitled Poem Stones. This is a mixed media series if you will as it pairs images with segments of a poetic memoir. I will be sharing more about the project's background in future posts. Visit Poem Stones. Feel free to comment.
Found out yesterday that my image of Kristina and the empty nest will be used in some of iStockphoto's marketing. It will be appearing in at least two books: 100 Things by Susan Weinshenck and another thus far untitled photoshop how-to being published in April.
